SafePlace and Foster Angels Donation Drive
The Texas Conference for Women, in partnership with I Live Here I Give Here, will host donation drives at the Nov. 19 Conference to support two local nonprofits: SafePlace and Foster Angels. Donation bins will be located in the Community Connection Pavilion at the Conference.
Foster Angels of Central Texas helps improve the lives of foster children of all ages and was designed to give direct help to foster children in need. They are accepting NEW gifts for children ages 5-10 from the list of “highly requested items” below:
Board games
Barbies or dolls and accessories
Craft sets
Leap Pad games
Star Wars-themed items
Legos
Hot Wheels
Toys branded Batman, Superman, Iron Man or Angry Birds

SafePlace is ending sexual and domestic violence through safety, healing, prevention and social change. Their biggest needs are NEW and unopened items listed below:
Deodorant
Shampoo and conditioner
Tampons (regular size)
Toothpaste
Toothbrushes
Bars of soap/body wash
Disposable razors
Mouth wash
Baby supplies: Size 4-6 diapers, wipes, baby powder, lotion, shampoo

The Community Connection Pavilion at the Conference will also feature a Volunteer Match, with ten nonprofits showcasing volunteer opportunities, and Local Leader Meetups, your chance to meet face-to-face with corporate, community and civic leaders to ask questions about your career, social responsibility, community outreach and much more.
