Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette
COLETTE PIERCE BURNETTE, Ed.D joined Huston-Tillotson University as its first female president in 2015. She is a strong proponent of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and of civic and community engagement as evidenced in her leadership positions as co-chair of the Mayor of Austin’s Task Force on Institutional Racism and Systemic Inequities, and Board Chair of Leadership Austin.
Colette received a BS in Engineering from The Ohio State University, MS in Administration from Georgia College and Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education’s Management Development Program.
