Fran Harris has spent the past 10 years building a multi-faceted celebrity brand. In 2010, she hosted HGTV’s “Home Rules.” A former ESPN announcer, Harris’ 15 plus years as a television personality span entertainment, sports, lifestyle and business programming. In 2011 she beat out more than 15,000 applicants to become a finalist for Good Morning America’s Advice Guru contest. This past May, she appeared as a contestant on NBC’s reality show, “America’s Next Great Restaurant”. Harris is currently developing fascinating multimedia & TV projects under the Fran Harris Entertainment banner and recently launched Athletes Who Mean Business. A WNBA Champion, NCAA Champion, Olympic team alternate and Hall of Honor awardee at The University of Texas at Austin, Harris believes deeply in the power of reaching back and giving back. Through Fran Harris Basketball she and her coaches empower young athletes to be successful on and off the court through innovative training and mentoring programs. She’s been featured on countless national TV programs and print publications. In 2012, Harris will launch YSTV.tv, an online television network dedicated to youth sports. She’s an adjunct professor in advertising at her alma mater, The University of Texas at Austin, where she was recently named host of a pregame show on the newly formed Longhorn Network, a partnership between UT and ESPN.
