Karen Walrond

Karen Walrond is a writer and photographer. She is a former engineer and a current (though non-practicing) attorney, with extensive experience in the energy and technology industries.  She is also the creative mind behind the award-winning site Chookooloonks.com, and the author of “The Beauty of Different,” a book that will convince you that the thing that makes you different might just be your superpower. Walrond has contributed to several major publications, including Good Housekeeping and Wondertime magazines.  She is also a sought-after keynote speaker,  covering topics varying from parenthood and social media, to women in leadership. She has appeared on both local and national television shows and other news media, including being featured on CNN.com and making an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
