Kim Davis

Kim Davis is a veteran news and sports journalist with more than two decades of experience in print, radio and television. A community advocate and pioneer, she’s also a self-proclaimed sports junkie. Davis is creator, host and executive producer for “Beyond The Headlines” on KPRC Local 2. Prior to joining KPRC, Davis started a communications consulting company that focuses on media training, “Chalk Talk” (sports basics for women) seminars and strategic planning. Before that she played an integral role in the success of Houston hosting Super Bowl XXXVIII as vice president of external relations. She has also anchored and reported news and sports in Illinois, Washington, DC and New Orleans. She’s received several awards for professional excellence and community service including being named of Houston’s Top 25 Women in 2010. She remains active in the community serving and working on several boards and non-profit organizations including AIDS Foundation Houston, the Houston Association of Black Journalists and Hermann Park Conservancy. Davis is a native Houstonian who graduates from Texas A&M University.
