Kim Smith

KIM SMITH is the VP of sales and technology leader for the U.S. public & federal market at IBM. She is responsible for the systems, software, and technical sales resources across one of the company’s largest markets, serving clients across the federal, state, & local governments as well as the education, healthcare, and life sciences industries. Smith has more than twenty-seven years of experience in the information technology industry. Prior to this role, she held numerous sales and technical leadership positions at IBM. She is currently one of seven technology leaders across the company – the only woman, – a member of IBM’s acceleration team, the IBM Black Executive Council, the IBM Americas Diversity & Inclusion Council, and an executive sponsor of IBM’s business resource group in Dallas. Smith graduated from Ball State University, earned a master’s in business management from Bellevue University, and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. @IBM
