KRISTA CALLAGHAN is a director of market HR and leads the people strategy for the US, ensuring Google’s most valuable asset—its people—love working at Google as much as she does. Callaghan’s team oversees HR operations for Google sites across the US – navigating operational complexities, compliance risks, and cultural nuances unique to each market. Her market HR team focuses on delivering extraordinary and equitable experiences for everyone who works at Google. They bring together all aspects of the employee journey, from hiring to retiring, for Googlers, managers, leaders, and candidates. Their goal is to deliver seamless, personalized experiences that blend the efficiency of digital tools with the warmth of human connection. Prior to her current role, Callaghan led the global operations & knowledge management teams for leadership staffing. She joined Google 10 years ago and holds a law degree and MPH from both University of Michigan’s Law School and School of Public Health (respectively).
