Leslie Ward
LESLIE WARD is senior vice president of legislative affairs, corporate external affairs with AT&T. She has been ranked as one of the top corporate lobbyist in Texas since the inception of the ranking system by Capitol Inside. Ward joined SBC (now AT&T) in 1998 following ten years in the government relations division of Sprint. Ward currently serves as secretary for the board of the Texas Taxpayers Association, as well as vice chair for the Texas Cultural Trust. She is on the Texas Conservation Coalition Research Institution board, a sustaining member of the Austin Junior League, and is currently serving as co-chair for the 2019 Texas Medal of Arts and is. In 2014, Ward was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve in the position of chief executive officer for the Texas Economic Development Corporation. Ward is also currently on the executive committee for the Texas Civil Justice League, and serves on the board of directors for Dress for Success. Ward earned a BA in political science, having attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In addition, she completed work in Corporate Community Relations at Boston College. @att
