Nellie Borrero
NELLIE BORRERO is senior global inclusion and diversity managing director with Accenture. Borrero joined Accenture in 1986 and created the first role for diversity efforts. In her current role she sets the vision and strategy behind the company’s diversity initiatives, working with its most senior leaders. Under her direction, the company launched several successful training programs around the world, spanning multiple segments of diversity. Outside of Accenture, Borrero has lent her voice to publications such as Forbes, The Chicago Tribune, Management Consulting Magazine, Diversity Inc., Diversity Careers in IT & Engineering, Black Enterprise Magazine, Hispanic Executive and Hispanic Engineering Magazine, and has been a featured guest on National Public Radio (NPR). In 2017, she was named by both FORTUNE and the Association of Latino Professionals for America’s 50 Most Powerful Latinas. Borrero was also named 2016 Black Enterprise Top Executives In Corporate Diversity; 2012 LATINA Style Top 5 Executive Women; 2012 Marcus Buckingham Leaders Leading Leaders award; 2012 Hispanic Business Influentials and the 2008 Stevie Women in Business awards. She currently serves on the board of Comprehensive Development, Inc. and has received coaching certification from the Hudson Institute and the International Coaching Federation.
